BARCS is looking for people who love animals and want the rewards of helping to save lives.
Fostering can be both heartbreaking and rewarding. Heartbreaking when you say good bye to your foster pet but rewarding knowing that you have helped enrich and save the life of that dog or cat.
We are in need of homes that can foster adult cats for our off-site adoption program. This requires fostering a cat for a minimum of two weeks prior to them being placed up for adoption at our off-site adoption center.
We are always in need of foster homes for bottle baby kittens, moms and newborn kittens, moms and puppies, and under aged pups.
We are especially in need of fosters for dogs or cats who have undergone surgery or need other medical care before they are made available for adoption.
If you are interested in helping to save lives and to make the lives of some of the unwanted animals of Baltimore City please complete the foster home application(available in Microsoft Word format as well) and send it to the volunteer or rescue coordinators via email, fax, or regular mail – or drop it by the shelter.
If you would like more information on our foster program please contact the rescue coordinator.
