Franky was just 4 months old when his owner threw him from a second-story building. Not satisfied with that horrific incident, the owner then went down to get the puppy and put him in a trashcan. Franky was dehydrated, in shock, and had a fractured pelvis.
With charitable work from a local vet along with a few donations, BARCS was able to help cover the costs of Franky's initial treatment and repair his fractured pelvis. Happily, Franky was then placed with another local rescue where he continued to receive care. He is now recovering from his injuries and living with his new adopted family. Many wonderful people came together to help Franky.
Sadly, this is not always the case. We all too often can't find anyone to help with the urgent medical costs to save a dog or cat's life. We have created the BARCS Fund for Sick and Injured Animals to prevent this. Rather than scrambling to find a person or organization willing and able to pay for the medical care each time an injured or sick animal comes into our shelter, we hope to have the funding in place so we can spring into action at a moment's notice. Every animal deserves a second chance!
We have set up a special PayPal account for these donations. You can donate online by clicking the button below!
