Franky

Franky received critical medical care and rehabilitation after being thrown from a second story window. Thanks to the Franky Fund, this sweet puppy is now recovered and living happily with his new family.

Gabrielle

BARCS is sad to report that there has been another case of animal cruelty that was brought to our shelter this week. An 8-month old cat was deliberately set fire and burned in the Garrison Ave. neighborhood in Baltimore.

Gunther Jr.

Gunther Jr. is an approximately 8 month old male cat that came to BARCS as a stray cat that was hit by a car. He was super sweet with us here even though he was apparently in pain.

Jacquelyn Renee

An unsuspecting person found this little girl in their back yard one day when they came home from work. They brought Jaquelyn Renee to BARCS in hopes to find her owner. She had a microchip; however, the numbers that were associated with the chip were disconnected. Sadly, no one came to look for her either...

King's injuries are to the ligaments in both front paws. BARCS volunteers have been helping to raise money for his expensive surgery, approximately $1,800 per paw.

Pickles came to BARCS as a stray dog in May 2008. She had been hit by a car and had an injured leg. She was sent to Everhart Animal Hospital for full evaluation. It was determined that Pickles had a fractured leg and required a pin to be inserted.
